    • What is a Unit?

      A unit is the measurement for Botox dosage. The amount used varies depending on the treatment area, muscle size, or, in the case of hyperhidrosis, the volume of sweat production. At BLS Clinic, we assess your condition and desired improvements during a consultation to recommend the most appropriate dosage for you.

    • What is the difference between Square Jaw Botox and Contour Injection?

      While both treatments aim to make the face appear smaller, they target different issues. Square Jaw Botox relaxes the muscles to soften an angular face caused by jaw muscle bulk. In contrast, Contouring Injections break down unnecessary fat and discharge it from the body, helping to refine the overall facial line. For those with a combination of muscle and fat, pairing these two treatments can produce a synergy effect. Contouring injections are most commonly applied to the cheeks or double chin but can be used on any area with excess fat.

    • Which product is best if I’m worried about resistance?

      If you are concerned about developing a tolerance (resistance), we recommend products that are free of complexing proteins. For long-term proven stability, we suggest Xeomin from Germany's Merz, which has been used globally for years. If you are looking for a more affordably priced option with a low risk of resistance, we recommend Coretox from Korea's Medytox.

    Precautions

    • You can wash your face and apply makeup starting 2-3 hours after the procedure.
    • It is recommended to avoid heavy drinking, sauna/jjimjilbang visits, hot baths, and intense exercise for 3-7 days after the procedure.
    • It is best to avoid rubbing or irritating the treated area. (Please refrain from intense massages or acupressure treatments for one month.)
    • You may feel soreness in the treated area after the procedure, but it is temporary and should not be a cause for concern.
    • Embossing caused by the toxin typically subsides within 3-4 hours. Depending on your skin condition, mild bruising or swelling may occur in certain areas, but this usually improves within 3-7 days.
